From the region that really knows what co-creation is about: Flanders
and Home to 3D
Your Next Partner in Additive Manufacturing is here
Family of the Future is a collaborative project by 30 organizations that are part of the Flam3D-network. Flam3D a not-for-profit organisation representing over 70 Companies and Research Institutes in Flanders, Belgium. Our goal is to promote all aspects of 3D-printing and facilitate and support the creation of new value chains.
Flanders, the northern part of Belgium, is a key economic region in Europe, with an export-based economy. Flanders has been a major player in European trade since the Middle Ages. Today Flanders continues this trading tradition, being the world’s No. 1 exporter per capita. Flanders is particularly active in high added-value, quality products and services.
A region mostly working behind the scenes, started working on a showcase on innovation and cooperation. Family of the Future will be a showcase of the available expertise and experience, with some true innovations on topology optimization, ceramics printing, printed electronics and more.
Co-creation adds value: what Additive Manufacturing really needs for the future, is cooperation. Beyond the hype, there’s a world in which we have to work together – both in- and outside the Additive Manufacturing ecosystem. Flanders is ready for that reality.
